OUTPATIENT + INPATIENT
TELE-MEDICINE ROTATION
Outpatient + Inpatient Tele-Medicine Program:
Applicants will be using platforms like Microsoft Teams/Zoom, etc., for the Tele-rotation and can be accessed from any part of the world. All applicants must protect the patient’s health information to maintain HIPAA compliance.
Rotation Details:
- Applicants will get a chance to participate in the rotation through Telemedicine conducted in an Outpatient and Inpatient setting.
- The Outpatient Tele-rotation will be conducted by the Founder of Brooklyn USCE, Dr. Ratesh Khillan.
- The Inpatient Tele-rotation will be conducted by two different Program Directors from an IMG-friendly residency program.
- All rotating applicants will be given an orientation before the rotation.
- Applicants will be given access to the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) under the supervision of the Attending and at the discretion of the Attending.
- Didactics will be conducted during the Tele-rotation.
- Participants will get an opportunity to present a case or a topic to the entire team, followed by a case discussion.

Outpatient Tele-Rotation timing: Monday to Thursday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Eastern Time (New York Time).

Inpatient Tele-Rotation timing: Saturday and Sunday, 09:00 am to 05:00 pm Eastern Time (New York Time).
*Please note: Timings may vary based on patient appointments. - After completing the 8-weeks of Tele-rotations, participants will get 3 performance-based Letters of Recommendation (LORs) for Telemedicine on Hospital Letterhead.

Requirements/Expectations from the applicant:
- Access to high-speed internet and devices like laptops/tablets/phones for using software apps like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.
- Availability during regular office hours. (Eastern Time/New York Time).
- Professional dress code and appearance.
- Quiet workspace at the remote location with no background disturbance.
Documents Required:
- Valid Passport
- Proof of being in medical school/medical school graduation certificate
- USMLE STEP scores (if given)
- HIPAA Certificate
- Infection Control Certificate
- Recent photo
Total Cost of this Tele-Rotation: $3500 per 8 weeks.
