MatchMind AI

Residency interview practice that has read your application.

MatchMind AI interviews you by voice about your own application and the program you pick. Then it scores every answer and rewrites the weak ones from your own facts.

Interviews run on a laptop or desktop computer with a microphone.

Example: a Faculty interviewer asks a fictional student about a sepsis quality-improvement project. The student answers out loud, and the report below scores the station on 8 skills and shows a stronger version of the answer.

How it works

Three steps from your application to your first report.

  1. Tell it about you

Once you have credits, upload your ERAS application PDF and we fill in your profile. Or type it in yourself. Add your personal statement and exams.

    • Experiences, research and hobbies, from your PDF
    • Personal statement
    • Exams and your path so far

The PDF is deleted when you confirm your profile.

  2. Plan a day and interview

Pick a specialty, a program and how tough the interviewers are. Then talk with each of them out loud, 15 minutes each.

    FriendlyStandardTough
    • Program Director 15 min
    • Faculty 15 min
    • Chief Resident 15 min
    • Ethics & Situations, if you like 15 min
  3. Read your report, then go again

Scores on up to 8 skills, what interviewers listen for, and stronger versions of your weakest answers. Your progress shows from one day to the next.

    • Day 2Nearly ready

Built for residency interviews, not general chat

The same answer can get two very different replies.

Example
Your answer

“I worked on a sepsis project during my rotation, and it went really well.”

A general voice chatbot

“That sounds great! A project like that shows real initiative.”

Kind, but you learn nothing, and it moves on.

MatchMind AI interviewer

“What did you find, and what would you do next?”

The follow-up a real interviewer asks. Then your report says:

What interviewers listen for
  • Explain the project’s question and what you found in plain words.
  • State your own part exactly, so it matches your application and the author list.

We wrote the chatbot’s reply to show a common pattern; the MatchMind AI follow-up is a real question from our question bank.

Your interview day

Four kinds of interviewers, 15 minutes each, played by 12 fictional voices with different accents.

  1. Program Director

Your story, why this specialty and why this program.

“What draws you to our program, and to training in this part of the country?”
  2. Faculty

Your experiences, research and real cases.

“Tell me about a patient you still think about, and why they’ve stayed with you.”
  3. Chief Resident

    Teamwork, stress and residency life.

“It’s late afternoon. You have three notes left, two admissions coming, and sign-out in an hour. Walk me through what you do.”
  4. Ethics & Situations Optional

Hard calls you could face as a resident.

“A patient’s son pulls you aside and asks you not to tell his father that the biopsy shows cancer. What do you do?”
  • Friendly, Standard or Tough: you choose how hard they push.
  • Interviewers use program facts we prepared, without naming the program.
  • When you ask them questions, they answer from those facts or say who would know.
  • Panel interview: the Program Director and a Faculty member together, 25 minutes.

Good to know

Do I need a laptop?

For interviews, yes: a laptop or desktop computer with a microphone. You can create your account and read your feedback on a phone.

Is the interviewer a real person?

No. The interviewers are AI voices playing fictional faculty and residents. Before you start, they read the profile you give them.

Which specialties can I practice?

Internal Medicine, Family Medicine and Psychiatry, with facts we prepared about the program you pick. 26 more specialties and one-year programs, such as Preliminary Medicine and Transitional Year, use a general program.

How long is an interview?

Each station lasts up to 15 minutes. A full interview day is three stations: Program Director, Faculty and Chief Resident. Ethics & Situations is an optional fourth station; it uses ethics credits, which come with the larger packs.

How do credits work?

After you create your account, you choose a credit pack. One credit is one 15-minute station. Credits can be used until March 3, 2027 at 9:00 pm ET, and all sales are final.

What happens to my application and recordings?

Your ERAS PDF is read to fill in your profile, then deleted when you confirm it. You can replay each interview for 14 days. We never sell your data, and you can delete your account at any time.

Will it predict my Match?

No. It is practice. AI feedback can be wrong, and nothing here predicts interview offers or Match results.
